VI.  Consent Calendar:  The following items were reviewed and recommended for adoption and may be approved by a single vote.  Any member of the public may request the Commission to pull an item for further discussion.
A.     April 2015 Postings
B.      North Coast Grantmaking Partnership:  Children’s Summer Lunch Program
Reference: Allocate $1,500 to cover costs associated with providing lunches for low income children within the Commission’s target population through the annual Children’s Summer Lunch Program implemented by Food for People.
C.     North Coast Grantmaking Partnership:  ChildSpree
Reference: Allocate $2,500 for children in need to secure new clothes for entering kindergarten in the fall of 2015. 
D.     Annual Audit: Christy White & Associates
Reference: Contract with Christy White & Associates for the following two years to prepare the financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2015 and the year ended June 30, 2016.
E.     FRC Consultant  for Fiscal Year 2015/2016
Reference: Per the Commission’s informal competitive bid process, it is recommended that Christina Huff be selected.

VII.  Action Item:  Commission Budget for Fiscal Year 2015-2016
Reference: Per the Commission’s annual budget development process, the budget  for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 will be considered.    (25 min)


VIII.  Action Item:  FIRST 5 HUMBOLDT Ten Year Forecast
Reference: The Commission will consider the updated Ten Year Forecast.  This is the Commission’s long range financial plan and it is updated each year prior to the close of the fiscal year.  Nancy Howatt, fiscal consultant, will review the updated Ten Year Forecast with Commissioners.      (10 min)

IX.  Action Item:  Nutrition Support in the Playgroup Setting
Reference:  Per the Playgroup Initiative, with plans to further healthy eating and active play within the playgroups, funding is requested to support the Nutrition Education Specialist at the Humboldt County Office of Education to assist with development and implementation of Bottom Line Practices in the area of nutrition.       (15 min)

X.  Discussion Item:  Our Time Together:  The Playgroup Initiative
Reference: The Playgroup Initiative document, outlining how playgroups in the county will be strengthened and protected for young children and their families into the future, will be presented and discussed.      (30 min)
