C. CLIF Award: Child Abuse Coordinating Council
Reference: It is recommended to contribute $600 to help support the Annual Stress and the Holidays Campaign.
D. CLIF Award: Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition
Reference: In partnership with other local funders, it is recommended FIRST 5 HUMBOLDT contribute $1,000 to assist with the preparation of the HUD Continuum of Care Program federal grant application. This competitive grant provides funding for local homeless assistance programs.
VI. Action Item: Policy for Resources to Comply with GASB 54: Committed Fund Balance
Reference: Commissioners will consider an amendment to the Policy specific to ‘Safety Net’ program allocations. (10 min)
VII. Information Item: Annual Audit Report
Reference: The Commission will review Financial Statements for the Year Ended June 30, 2015 from Christy White & Associates. (25 min)
VIII. Information Item: First 5 Annual Report
Reference: Evaluators Kim Puckett and Maria Vanderhorst will review sections of the Annual Report to be submitted to First 5 California. (25 min)
IX. Discussion Item: Revised Budget for Fiscal Year 2015-2016
Reference: The Commission will review budget revisions for the current fiscal year. (10 min)
X. Information Item: Marijuana Use: Impact on Child Development
Reference: Laura Power will brief Commissioners on a recent training she attended at First 5 Alameda which discussed prevalence rates of prenatal marijuana use, as well as physical and psychosocial effects of parental marijuana use. (30 min)
