On Having a Second Child Print E-mail

By Larissa Krause
Mom of Jack, age 3 And Jesse, age 1

My life as a mother of two young boys is… messy. I’ve never been a clean freak, but am guilty of color organizing my closet before I had kids. Now days, I’m lucky if I am able to fold and put away laundry before the winkles set in too deep. Some days I feel like I just can’t keep up with it all.

There are changes on the horizon for the Inclusion Support Team serving children and families at the First 5 Playgroups. Sandi Little has retired, but fortunately for us she cannot pull herself away from the children and families, yet. Sandi is weaning herself slowly from the work that she has loved for years. She will continue for this year to serve the following playgroups: Arcata Tiny Tots, F.U.N. Play Center, and Rio Dell.

By Erin Stanley
Mom of Arundahti, age 4
And Solana age 2

I use what I have in the refrigerator and pantry and adapt accordingly. On the menu for our dinner with the kiddos was Black Bean soup deliciously flavored with ground buffalo and spices and Quinoa with spinach - not to forget mixed green salad.
