People often tell me “wow that must be really hard to be a single parent going to school.” The simple and quickest answer is yes; but like most things it’s much more complex than that. Supporting Your Child’s Transitions

As I visited playgroups near summer’s end, many parents were expressing concerns about how their children were going to transition to preschool, Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten programs. Since school has started you may have noticed many children will already be in these new environments. Some transitions will have been easier than others, depending on a child’s temperament, development, the design of the program he or she is entering and many other factors.
